Checking the component and wiring
- Ignition off
- Disconnect the connector for the loudspeaker in the right front door.
Check the cable terminals. Check for contact resistance, loose connections and oxidation.
Note! Only visually check the treble loudspeaker. Check for oxidation and loose connections. Do not carry out any electrical fault-tracing on the treble loudspeaker.
Check the cable terminals in the female and male sections of the connector. The cable terminals must not be damaged or pressed back.
Check the signal cable between audio control module (AUD) terminal #B3 and loudspeaker terminal #2 in the right front door. Check for an open-circuit.
Check the signal cable between audio control module (AUD) terminal #B11 and loudspeaker terminal #1 in the right front door. Check for an open-circuit.
Hint: Also check the connector between the audio control module (AUD) and the loudspeaker in the right front door for contact resistance, loose connections and oxidation.
Check loudspeaker connector terminals #1 and #2 in the right front door. Check for an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on.
Check that there is sound heard from the loudspeakers for the audio module (AUD) by trying the FM/AM radio, CD or MD player.
