Automatic Transmission Components



Cable Harness/Temperature Sensor, Replacing

NOTE: As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information is always correct.

Preparatory work

Removing components

Remove:

- the transmission control module (TCM).
- the control system cover.

Removal

Removing the cable harness





Remove:

- the connectors for the solenoid valves
- the screw for the oil temperature sensor holder. Detach the sensor from the control system
- the cable harness from the holders on the control system
- the cable harness.

Installation





Checking the seal for the cable harness Check that the seal for the cable harness connector is fault free and in position.

Installing the cable harness for the transmission





Install the cable harness for the transmission. Ensure that the guide for the connector comes between the lugs on the transmission. Ensure that the cable harness is secured to the holders on the control system.

Installing the cable harness connector





Connect the connectors to the solenoid valves.
Install the oil temperature sensor using the holder and the M6 screw. Tighten.
Check that the cable harness is correctly located in its holders.

Finishing

Installing components

Install:
- the control system cover.
- the transmission control module (TCM).
