Signal Missing






Signal missing

Checking connectors and wiring
Check the leak diagnostic unit connectors. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.
Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #B34 (#B44) and leak diagnostic unit terminal #2. Check for an open-circuit.
Check the power supply cable between system relay terminal #5 and leak diagnostic unit terminal #4. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to ground.

Hint: With the ignition on, the voltage between leak diagnostic unit connector terminal #4 and the ground terminal must be battery voltage.

If no fault is found in the above fault-tracing and the fault recurs. Try a new leak diagnostic unit.
Remedy as necessary.
