Condition
The rear electronic module (REM) checks the output signal to the relay coil for relay, rear air conditioning (A/C).
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-5A31 is stored if the control module registers that the output signal to the relay coil is too high.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-5A31 can be detected when the relay is activated.

- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the relay circuit
- Defective relay.
