GPS Unit, Communication Problems
GPS unit, communication problems
Fault-tracing information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ATM-0005 is stored if the car does not detect a GPS unit even though the car is configured for one.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is also stored if there are communication problems between the antenna module (ATM) and the GPS unit.
If the fault is intermittent, it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent faults can be caused by interference at start up of the antenna module (ATM) or may be a different type of fault which occurs on different occasions. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs. If the fault recurs, replace the GPS unit.
If the fault is permanent, check that a GPS unit is installed. Install a GPS unit if there isn't one. In other cases replace the GPS unit.
Remedy as necessary.
