Panel, Cantrail, Replacing





Removing The Cantrail Panel







- Remove one screw
- Pull the panel straight down.

Installing the cantrail panel

Install:
In reverse order.

Replacing the A-post panel
As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and/or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Removing the A post panel







NOTE: There are two types- safety hook or safety clips- of mounting for the panel nearest the headlining.

- Detach the door weatherstrip at the panel (1)
- Pull the panel straight inwards into the car
- Lift upwards
- Cut off the safety clip or unhook the safety hook depending on the version (2).

NOTE: Ensure that the guide lugs on the panel do not scratch the dashboard.







- Turn the safety clip a quarter turn.
- Remove the clip.

Installing the A-post panel

Install:
- a new safety clip or alternatively a new hook in the safety hook
- the panel
- weatherstrip.

NOTE:
- It is important that a new safety clip is used when installing.
- It is important that the clips or hooks are correctly positioned and that the panel is correctly positioned or the Inflatable Curtain (IC) may be negatively affected.

Panel, B-post, replacing

Removing the B-post panel

Remove:







- the sill trim panel.
- the sill trim panel.
- the end mounting from the front seat seat belt.
- the end mounting on the front seat seat belt on power seats: Release the catches from underneath.

Move the seat as far forward as possible.

Detach the weatherstrip at the panel: Pull straight to the side.

Pull the lower section of the panel inwards into the car.

Pull straight downwards, press the steel clips outwards (both sides) and releases the insert at the top edge.

Pull downwards until the panel releases.

Lift upwards until the panel is free

Remove the seat belt cover.

Thread the seat belt through the panel.

Installing the B-post panel

Install:
In reverse order.

B-post ventilation vent
- Remove.







- Release the fastener.
- Press out the vent.

Installing the B-post ventilation vent

Install:
- In reverse order.
- Tighten the seat belt. Tighten to 48 Nm.

CAUTION: When installing the B-post panel: Check that the wiring for the seat belt, tensioner and sensor is tensioned and secured in the correct position. Otherwise the wiring may be damaged when the panel is installed.

Panel, C-post, replacing

Removing the C-post panel







CAUTION: Detach the panel in the following order. Otherwise the panel may be damaged.

- Remove cover
- Remove 1 screw in the cargo compartment side panel.

Detach part of the panel on the C-post

- Detach the front half of the cantrail panel
- Remove the sill trim panel at the rear side door.
- Fold the rear seat backrest to the load position
- Detach the panel at the lower edge, then at the rear edge and finally at the window
- Lift the panel out past the backrest striker plate
- Pull downwards until the panel detaches at the top.

Installing the C-post panel

Install:
In reverse order.

Panel, D-post, replacing

Removing the D-post panel

Remove:







- The cover for the side panel.
- the cantrail panel.

CAUTION: Detach the panel in the following order. Otherwise the panel may be damaged.

- Grasp the edge. Pull inwards so that the clips release (1)
- Detach the upper edge at the window so that the panel can pass the gas strut (2)
- Pull inwards so that the clips in the opening release (3)
- Lift upwards.

Installing the D-post panel

Install:
In reverse order.







NOTE: Align against the sill trim panel and the load securing eyes.
