Checking the function of the warning lamp for the generator (GEN) in the combined instrument panel (driver information module)




- Ignition on.
Check that the "Generator not charging" warning lamp lights when the ignition is switched on. The lamp will go out if the engine is not started 5 seconds after the ignition is switched on.
If the engine is started, the lamps will go out if there is no fault.

Hint: The warning lamp can also be tested by activating a test of needles and lamps. Check that the warning lamp for the generator (GEN) lights.
