DEM-000B
DTC DEM-000B
Condition
The Differential Electronic Module (DEM) checks if the signal from the oil temperature sensor is within the permitted limits by comparing the signal with a calculated value.
When the engine speed (RPM) exceeds 500 rpm, the control module calculates the pressure theoretically. The calculated pressure is compared to the oil temperature sensor signal. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) DEM-000B is stored if the signal from the oil temperature sensor corresponds to a temperature lower than 0 MPa or higher than 4 MPa. The control module interprets this as a fault. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is also stored in the event of faulty signals from the Brake Control Module (BCM). Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) DEM-000B can be diagnosed with the engine running and the engine speed (RPM) >500 rpm.
Substitute value
- Four wheel drive is blocked.
Possible source
- Defective control module
- Faulty signals from the Brake Control Module (BCM).
Fault symptom[s]
- Four wheel drive is not functioning.
