DTC DEM 0005





Condition
The Differential Electronic Module (DEM) checks if the signal from the control valve is within the permitted limits by comparing the signal with a calculated value.

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) ECM-0005 is stored if the control module receives a signal from the control valve corresponding to a current higher than 4095 mA. The control module interprets this as a fault. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) DEM 0005 can be diagnosed with the engine running and the engine speed (RPM) >500 rpm.

Substitute value
- Four wheel drive is blocked.

- Defective control module.
