Timing Belt

Center screw for the timing belt 25 Nm





Tighten the center screw on the timing belt tensioner. Tighten to 5 Nm.
Turn the variable valve timing unit clockwise until stop.
Hold the variable valve timing unit secure in the limit position.
Install the timing belt in the following order:
1. crankshaft
2. the idler pulley
3. intake camshaft
4. exhaust camshaft
5. coolant pump
6. belt tensioner

Note: Adjust the timing gear pulleys so that the screws are not at a limit position in the oval holes.
