Condition
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) TCM-0049 is stored if the control module detects a fault in the control module EEPROM memory.

Substitute value
- The Transmission Control Module (TCM) "Emergency mode 1" program has been initiated.

- Internal fault in control module.
