Anti-Roll Bar Rear, Replacing






Anti-roll bar rear, replacing

Removing the rear anti-roll bar (the illustrations may vary slightly for different models)
Raise the car.





Remove
- one of the spring struts according to Spring/shock absorber rear, replacing, M58, M66 AWD, AW50/51 AWD Spring/Shock Absorber Rear, Replacing
- the exhaust pipe. Begin from the front
- the parking brake cable from the sub-frame.




- the anti-roll bar from the outer mountings. Counterhold the ball joint so as not to damage the boot
- the screws holding the anti-roll bar in the sub-frame
- the anti-roll bar.

Installing rear anti-roll bar

Note! To ensure that there is no exhaust leakage, see: Flanged joint, assembling Flanged Joint, Assembling.

When replacing rear anti-roll bar
- Transfer the inner mountings to the new anti-roll bar.





Install
- the anti-roll bar
- the screws holding the anti-roll bar in the sub-frame. Tighten to 80 Nm
- the anti roll bar outer mountings. Tighten to 80 Nm. Counterhold the ball joint so as not to damage the boot.




- parking brake cable mounting. Tighten to 25 Nm
- the exhaust pipe. Tighten the six mounting points. Tighten to 25 Nm.

Note! Install a new flange gasket.

- the spring strut. See Spring/shock absorber rear, replacing, M58, M66 AWD, AW50/51 AWD Spring/Shock Absorber Rear, Replacing.
