Replacing Track Rod

Removing track rod
Raise the car.

Remove the wheel





- the wheel
- the mounting for the parking brake cable on the track rod
- the inner and outer track rod retaining screws
- the track rod.

Installing the track rod





Install
- the track rod
- the inner and outer retaining screws for the track rod. Do not tighten yet
- the mounting for the parking brake cable.
Apply tensioner 999 5659 according to Tensioner 999 5659 User instructions.
Tighten the outer screw for the track rod to 80 Nm.
Tighten the eccentric screw and nut to 80 Nm.
Remove the tensioner and mountings.
Install the wheel.
Align the wheels, refer to Alignment, Service and Repair.
