Background:

When removing the front bumper first you have to remove rivets by the bumpers bottom edge. The opposite applies when installing the front bumper When installing the front bumper the rivets shall also be fitted. This service bulletin describes how to remove and fit rivets in the front bumpers bottom edge on the vehicle.

Removing rivet




Drill out the rivets 2 pcs. located in the bumper casings bottom edge with a 5 mm drill before the bumper itself is removed.

Installing rivet




Install the bumper. Then install and tighten down the new rivets 2 pcs. in the bumper casings bottom edge with riveting tool.
