Height adjuster

Removing the height adjuster




Remove the seat from the car. See Removing power seats, tilting Removal and Replacement.

Remove:
- the seat frame. See The seat frame The Seat Frame
- the bracket and cross member. See Bracket and cross member Bracket and Cross Member.

Remove:
- the connector
- wiring
- the spring. See Tension spring Tension Spring.

Remove:
- two plus two screws on the right hand side of the transmission
- two plus one screws on the left hand side.

Installing the height adjuster





Install:
- two plus one screws on the Left hand seat
- two plus two screws on the right hand side of the transmission
- the spring. See Tension spring Tension Spring
- wiring
- the connector
- the bracket and cross member. See Bracket and cross member Bracket and Cross Member
- the seat frame. See The seat frame The Seat Frame
- the seat. See Removing power seats, tilting Removal and Replacement.

Note! Removed seat rails must always be checked for movement. Use Vernier calipers to measure from the fixed to the moving component. Both rails should have the same measurement. If not, adjust one of the rails. If the rails do not have the same measurements the seat does run parallel. This leads to increased wear and noise.
