The following components are included in thedoor panel:
Door panel base.
Cover.
Armrest.
The front or rear handle.
SIPS block.
The trim strip and the inner opener.
Handle.
Loudspeaker, door module.
Loudspeaker grille.
These components can be transferred to a new door panel.
Remove the head from the plastic rivet with a drill bit or a chisel for example.
Preparations: Get out holders 945780 (5 mm diameter) and washer 955891.
A maximum of 18 washers is required.
After removing the side panel assembly, the armrest, front handle and the upper loudspeaker grille must be replaced with new components.
Four different methods can be used for installation:
Molten riveting.
Screwed joint.
Locking with holders.
Taping.
A combination of the above.
Method 1 = Molten riveting with heat, hot-air gun951 2777 Hot-air gun 951 2777 Hot Air Gun and the nozzle from kit951 2778 Nozzle 951 2778 Nozzle and tools to press with.
Method 2 = Screwed joint with screw 969464 and washer 955891. Use 2-3 washers at each point so that the screw does not penetrate the surface.
Method 3 = Locking with holder 945780.
Method 4 = Methods 1 and 3 combined.
Method 5 = Method 2 or 4 depending on whether new or old components are being used.
Method 6 = Taping with double-sided adhesive tape.
Method 7 = Bonding using hot adhesive.
The method to be used to secure the components is marked in the illustrations.
In certain cases two methods can be used, depending on whether the components are new or old.
Remember that there must not be any play after joining.
