Condition












Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SWM-0009 is stored if the micro-processor / control module registers that the serial interface between the steering wheel module and the steering wheel switches is short circuited to 12 V and the signal is high for more than 300 ms.

Substitute value
The cruise control is deactivated for the rest of the journey.

Possible source
- The serial interface between the steering wheel module and the steering wheel switches is short circuited to voltage.

Fault symptom[s]
- Cruise control does not function at all.
- The steering wheel radio controls do not function.
- The steering wheel RTI controls do not function.
- The steering wheel carphone controls do not function.
