Check the cable between rear electronic module terminal #D1 (#B01) and "Rear windshield defroster" relay 2/82 terminal #2 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Check the relay terminal, in particular relay guide 2/82 terminal #2, for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.
Try a new relay if no faults are found.

- When the relay is installed and activated, the voltage at the relay guide should be 0 V.
