Signal too high. Permanent fault

Replacing the component
Replace the back-up (reversing) lamp relay (position 2/80). Check the relay terminal, in particular the relay guide (2/80 terminal #2), for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

- To access and replace the relay, see Relay/fuse box cargo compartment/Rear electronic module (REM), replacing Integrated Relay/Fusebox Cargo Compartment/Rear Electronic Module (REM), Replacing.
- When the relay is installed and activated, the voltage at the relay guide (terminal #2) should be 0 V.

Hint: After the repair it is necessary to check that the fault has been rectified.








- Ignition off.
- Install the components, connect the connectors, etc.
- Ignition on.
Activate reversing lamps.
