- Check the power window lift motor connector for contact resistance and oxidation and remedy according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. In particular, check for any damage
- Reinstall the components, reconnect the connectors etc.
- Ignition on.

Check the cable between door control module terminal #24A and power window motor connector terminal #5. Check for a short-circuit to ground. See Checking wiring and terminals. Replace the power window mechanism .
Ignition on.
Move the window to its upper limit position using manual control.
Initialize the window.
From model year 2003 inclusive, the window will lower approximately 10 centimeters and then close again during initialization.
