Checking the relay and supply
Check that relay 2/90 is correctly connected. Check that the relay is not defective.
Hint: This tip applies only in the event of an open-circuit in cable.
The fault may have been caused by an open-circuit in the supply to the relay. The voltage must be 12 V at terminal #1 for relay 2/90. Check fuse 11B/13 in particular.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off.
Check the cable between central electronic module (CEM) terminal #14A and windshield wiper relay 2/90 terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Also check the connector. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition on.
Activate relay.
Listen for a click in the relay.
