Signal too high / Signal missing

Checking the status
Check if the fault is permanent or intermittent by switching between high and low beam.
If the right xenon lamp does not switch between the high and low beam it means that the fault is permanent.
If the right xenon lamp switches between high and low beam it indicates that the fault was present previously but is no longer active, intermittent fault.

Checking components and wiring
Check the cable between the central electronic module (CEM) terminal #D11 and the right lamp housing terminal #5A (10/2). Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Hint: The actuator motor is supplied with voltage via the parking lamp circuit. If the parking lamp does not function carry out the following checks:

Check the main fuse, passenger compartment fuse and relay for the parking lamps.
Check that the right parking lamp bulb is intact.
Check the cable between the passenger compartment fuse and lamp housing terminal #2A. Check the cable between lamp housing terminal #1A and the ground terminal. Check for an open-circuit.
Replace the right lamp housing if no fault is found.
