Condition
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) AEM-4F63 is stored if the control module registers that the signal is too high or there is an open-circuit in the buzzer cable from the back-up (reversing) warning system during the first 0.2-2.5 seconds after the back-up (reversing) warning system is activated.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the ignition is on and the back-up (reversing) warning system is activated, i.e. back-up (reverse) gear is selected.
Substitute value
- The back-up (reversing) warning system is switched off.
Possible source
- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the buzzer cable from the back-up (reversing) warning system
- Open-circuit in the buzzer cable from the back-up (reversing) warning system
- Defective back-up (reversing) buzzer.
Fault symptom[s]
- The back-up (reversing) warning system does not function.
