Condition

If the control unit detects that the rear left reading lamp is on when the front left reading lamp is off, a faulty control signal from the lamp circuit displays the diagnostic trouble code.

Substitute value

- The lamp goes off.

Possible source

- The signal wire for the rear left reading lamp is short circuited to ground.
- Intermittent open circuit on signal wire.

Fault symptom[s]

- Courtesy lighting does not work.
