Side Impact Protection System (SIPS)

Condition

One of the following diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) will be stored if the resistance in any of the wiring circuits is lower than 10 Ohms for longer than 10 seconds:
SRS-0036
SRS-003E
SRS-0046
SRS-004E
SRS-0056
SRS-005E
depending on which wiring circuit the fault is in.

Possible source

- If the SRS control module identifies that a side impact protection (SIPS) bag is installed, despite the control module being programmed that a side impact protection (SIPS) bag is not installed.

Fault symptom[s]

- The SRS indicator lamp is lit.
