Condition










If microprocessor/control unit registers that serial interface between SWM and SWS (steering wheel switches) short circuits and signal is low for more than 300 ms, diagnostic trouble code SWM-0008 is displayed.

Substitute value

- Cruise-control function does not work when engine is running.

- Serial interface between SWM and SWS (steering wheel switches) short circuited.

Fault symptom[s]

- Cruise control not working at all.
- Radio steering wheel buttons do not work.
- RTI steering wheel buttons do not work.
- Telephone steering wheel buttons do not work.
