SAS-E000: Communication With Control Unit, Communication With Control Unit

Control units communicate with each other over a network via a standardized serial method of communication - Controller Area Network (CAN) - to exchange information. Control units send and receive information. If the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor (SAS) control unit registers that communication is interrupted or no longer functions, diagnostic trouble code SAS-E000 will be stored.

Note! In the event of a communication fault in the SAS system, it will be impossible to communicate with the steering wheel angle sensor control unit. Therefore the diagnostic trouble code can only be read if the fault is intermittent.

- CAN communication blocked.

Possible source
- Defective control unit.

- Anti-spin warning lamp is on.
- Stabilizing function not working.
