SAS-0042: Steering Wheel Angle Sensor, Internal Fault
Condition





If the Steering Wheel Angle Sensor (SAS) control unit registers that the steering speed (the speed at which the steering wheel is turned) from the SAS element exceeds 2000°/s, diagnostic trouble code SAS-0042 is set.

Substitute value
- Stabilizing function disconnected.
- Anti-spin function blocked.

Possible source
- The front wheels hit a curb or stone.

- Anti-spin warning lamp is on.
- Stabilizing function not working.
- Anti-spin does not work.
