Condition

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-8D11 is stored if the rear electrical module (REM) registers that the signal for the high mounted stop lamp is too high, too low or missing.

Substitute value

- None.

Possible source

- Short-circuit or open-circuit in the wiring for the high mounted stop lamp
- Defective stop lamp.

Fault symptom[s]

- The stop lamp does not light when the brake pedal is depressed.
