Condition

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-4A46 is stored if the rear electronic module registers that the signal from the gas level sensor is too low.

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) REM-4A46 can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.

Substitute value

- The fuel level is set to zero.

Possible source

- Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable.
- Defective gas level sensor.

Fault symptom[s]

- The fuel level gauge does not function.
- The trip displays an empty fuel tank too early.
