BCM-E000: Communications Between Control Modules, Communication Problems
Condition





The control modules in the car continually transmit and receive information over the data network (Controller Area Network). Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) BCM-E000 is stored if the Brake Control Module (BCM) registers that communication between the Brake Control Module (BCM) and other control modules is missing or subject to interference.

Substitute value
- Traction control is blocked
- Stability control is blocked
- Active yaw control is blocked.

Possible source
- Interference in the Control area network (CAN).

Fault symptom[s]
- The anti-spin warning lamp is lit (up to and including 2002 model year)
- General yellow warning lamp lit (from model year 2003 inclusive)
- Anti-spin does not function
- The traction control system does not function.
