BCM-A031: Communications Between Control Modules, Plausibility Check Not Run
Condition





After the steering wheel angle sensor has been initialized, a check of the plausibility of the steering wheel angle is run. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) BCM-A031 is stored if the check is not approved and speed exceeds 50 km/h.
The plausibility check can be completed even if BCM-A031 is stored, but not before the ignition has been switched off. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) BCM-0111 is also stored if the check is not completed within one minute.

Substitute value
- Active yaw control is blocked.

Possible source
- The plausibility check of the steering wheel angle is not approved.

Fault symptom[s]
- The anti-spin warning lamp is lit
- The traction control system does not function.
