BCM-0136: Brake pressure Sensor 1 and 2, Signal Outside Its Permitted Range
Condition
Note! The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) applies only to ABS systems equipped with Dynamic Stability And Traction Control (DSTC).
Brake pressure sensors 1 and 2 provide a signal with the brake system pressure to the Brake Control Module (BCM). Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) BCM-0136 is stored if the control module registers that the signal from any of the pressure sensors is outside its permitted range.
Substitute value
- Traction control is blocked
- Stability control is blocked
- Active yaw control is blocked.

Possible source
- Open-circuit in the ground lead
- Fault in the brake circuit
- Defective pressure sensor.
Fault symptom[s]
- The anti-spin warning lamp is lit (up to and including 2002 model year)
- General yellow warning lamp lit (from model year 2003 inclusive)
- Anti-spin does not function
- The stability control system does not function
- The traction control system does not function.
