BCM-0117: Communications With The Active Yaw Control Sensor, An Incorrect Active Yaw Sensor Has Been Installed
Condition
There are two different active yaw control sensors. One is for two wheel drive cars, the other is for four wheel drive cars. Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) BCM-0117 is stored if the Brake Control Module (BCM) registers that the installed active yaw control sensor is not correct for this car.

- Stability control is blocked

- An incorrect active yaw control sensor had been installed.
Fault symptom[s]
- The anti-spin warning lamp is lit (up to and including 2002 model year)
- General yellow warning lamp lit (from model year 2003 inclusive)
- Anti-spin does not function
- The stability control system does not function
- The traction control system does not function.
