AEM-E003

Condition

The control modules communicate with each other in a network via a standardized serial communication interface - Controller Area Network (CAN) - to exchange information. The control modules transmit and receive information. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) AEM-E003 is stored if the control module registers that that there is no communication or that it is distorted.

NOTE: The control module responds to diagnostic data, however the CAN communication does not function.

- CAN communication blocked.

Possible source

- Faulty signal configuration in the control module.

- Accessories connected to the control module do not function.
