Lever steering wheel adjustment, replacing

Preparations

Remove:
- the soundproofing panel according to Soundproofing panel, replacing Soundproofing Panel, Replacing
- the steering wheel covers. See Replacing the steering column covers, B5244T5, B5254T2 Service and Repair.

Removing the lever for steering wheel adjustment




- Remove the four screws holding the steering column
- Pull the steering column backwards out from the three guides and press to the right.




- Remove the lever by pulling it straight out.

Installing the lever for steering wheel adjustment
- Install the lever (press to the bottom position)
- Hook the steering column into the three guides.

Remove:
- the screw from the steering column (x4). Tighten to 25 Nm
- the steering column covers. See Replacing the steering column covers, B5244T5, B5254T2 Service and Repair
- the soundproofing panel according to Soundproofing panel, replacing Soundproofing Panel, Replacing.
