DTC ECM-6110

Condition







Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-6110 is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault in the signal cable from the engine cooling fan (FC) relay.

Substitute value
- None

Possible source

Signal too high:
- short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- defective engine cooling fan (FC) relay

Signal too low:
- short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable
- defective engine cooling fan (FC) relay

Signal missing:
- open-circuit in the signal cable
- defective engine cooling fan (FC) relay.

Fault symptom[s]
- the engine cooling fan (FC) runs continuously even when the ignition is switched off.
