Checking signal cable to indicator LED

Disconnecting control module








- Ignition off.
- Disconnect VGLA control module connector B.
Check if the indicator LED goes out.

Does the indicator LED go out?

Yes - Replacing component

No - Checking for a short-circuit to supply voltage

Check cable between VGLA control module #A23 and indicator LED terminal 1 for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

Hint: After carrying out the repair check that the fault has been remedied.








- Ignition off.
- Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
- Ignition on.
Activate indicator LED.
The indicator LED should come on.





Is the function OK?

Yes - Fault has been remedied

No - Fault-tracing information
No Fault Found

Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
