Checking for oil leakage in the transmission
Check whether the transmission is leaking oil as follows.
- Check for oil leakage and its source
- Check that the sealant on the transmission mating flange is correctly installed
- Check whether the sealing rings leak
- Check for pores in the transmission housing.
If the transmission mating flange is leaking oil replace the transmission.
If the primary shaft or drive shafts seals are leaking, replace the seals.
If the car is new and there are pores in the transmission housing replace the transmission. If the car is old seal the transmission using a suitable sealant.
