High Level Stop Lamp, Replacement

Removal

NOTE: The stop lamp can only be replaced as a complete unit.

Preparation







- Set the convertible top to the position illustrated
- Ignition off.

Removing the stop lamp insert







- Disconnect the connector and cable clip
- Remove the three screws
- Carefully remove the rubber strip from the stop lamp insert
- Angle out and remove the stop lamp insert.

Installation

Installing the stop lamp insert
- Install masking tape on the lower edge of the stop lamp insert lens to prevent spilling adhesive
- Align the stop lamp
- Install the three screws
- Bond the weatherstrip to the stop lamp insert. Use rapid bonding adhesive
- Connect the connector and the clips.

Finishing
- Replace the convertible top.
- Remove the masking tape.
- Check that the stop lamp functions.
