Checking the cable
- Check control module connector A. Check for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault
- Ignition off.
Connect an ohmmeter between control module connector A7 and ground.
Test for a short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.

- Check control module connector A for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault
- Ignition on.
Connect a voltmeter between control module connector A7 and ground.
Ignition on.
If the voltage is low (approximately 0 V) there is an open-circuit in the cable or fuse 29 has blown.
Remedy as necessary.

- The voltage for the 15-supply should be 12-15 V with the ignition on.
Select Continue when the fault has been remedied.

Note! After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied.
- Reinstall components, reconnect connectors etc.
- Speed < 4 km/h
- Trunk lid closed
- Ignition off.
Activate the control switch for convertible top operation.
It should not be possible to operate the convertible top when the ignition is off.
