Checking air conditioning (A/C) signal
Checking the cable
- Ignition off
- Check the control module connector A and ECC control module connector B. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Connect an ohmmeter between the control module connector terminal #A17 and ECC control module connector terminal #B7.
Test for an open-circuit according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.
Remedy as necessary.

- Ignition off
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
- Ignition on
- Convertible top in the closed position
- Activate the air conditioning (A/C) system (ECC)
- Read off the status of the air conditioning (A/C) system signal.
The status should be active in the raised position
Is air conditioning (A/C) system functioning?
Yes - Verification, continued
No - VERIFICATION FAILED

- Operate the convertible top to the open position
- Read off the status of the air conditioning (A/C) system signal.
The status must be inactive in the open position
Is air conditioning (A/C) system functioning?
Yes - VERIFIED
No - VERIFICATION FAILED
