Checking for play in the drive shaft
Check the drive shaft to the front wheels as follows.
- Look for a clicking that occurs when starting off and stopping, especially on the S80.
There may be play in the spline joint between the drive shaft and the front wheel hubs. Remedy using metallic adhesive.
