Top panel, gear selector assembly, manual, replacing

Removal

Removing the spaceball




Remove the panel over the pen holder.

Removing the gear selector lever knob




Turn a quarter of a turn to the left. Pull the gear selector lever knob straight up.

Detaching the panel




Press in the catches. Lift up the panel.

Removing the spaceball from the center console





Note! See where the mountings are in the center console.

Press the rear catch and lift the spaceball up slightly. Twist the spaceball out of its mountings. Move the gearlever to 5-th gear.
Carefully lift the spaceball out of the center console and over the gear selector lever. Remove the spaceball.

Installation

Installing the spaceball in the center console




Install the spaceball over the gear selector lever.
Move the spaceball carefully into the center console. Move the gearlever to 5-th gear.
Install the spaceball in the front mountings first and lock them using the rear mounting.

Installing the panels




Install both the panels.

Installing the gear selector lever knob




Install the gear selector lever knob. Turn the knob quarter of a turn to the right.
Check the gear selector lever position in the space ball. It should be in the middle of the space ball. If the gear selector lever is not in the correct position, check the transmission cable. See Transmission cable, replacing Service and Repair.
