Bolted joint for ISOFIX attaching bracket

Background

The nuts used to attach the ISOFIX bracket to the body may be insufficiently tightened.

Tightening the ISOFIX bracket 1





- Remove the plastic ISOFIX seat guides (if installed).

- Raise the left and right rear seat cushion.

- Using a 15 mm and 17 mm socket,torque the outer end inner mountings for the ISOFIX bracket to 40 mm. (30 ft. lbs.)

NOTE:
On some cars it may appear as if the (nuts) for the outer attachment(s) are short of reaching all the thread on the stud(s). This is, however, according to specification.

- Reinstall the seat cushions.

- Reinstall the plastic ISOFIX seat guides (if installed).
