Description Of Parameters

Description of parameters

General
The climate control system must be active for certain values to be updated.

Note! In the AUTO position, the electronic climate control module (CCM) governs functions which affect certain of the parameters listed below.

Sun intensity, value (Electronic climate control)
Measurement range: 0 - 1000 W/m2
The climate control module (CCM) calculates the sun intensity based on the signal from the sun sensor.
The value is used as a compensation parameter to control the passenger compartment temperature.

Evaporator temperature, value (Electronic climate control, Manual climate control)
Measurement range: -40 - 85°C
The climate control module (CCM) calculates the temperature based on the signal from the evaporator temperature sensor.
The value is used to control the air conditioning (A/C) compressor.
In normal operation (engine running and A/C selected) the control module can regulate the compressor in the following way:
- 10 °C air conditioning (A/C) compressor on
- 6.5 °C air conditioning (A/C) compressor off.
At temperatures below 6 °C the compressor is not permitted to operate because of the risk of freezing.

Twilight intensity, value
Measurement range: 0 - 15
The climate control module (CCM) calculates the twilight intensity based on the signal from the twilight sensor.
This value is transmitted to the central electronic module (CEM) via the control area network (CAN) to regulate the luminance of the buttons and combined instrument panel (DIM).
The value increases with increased and falls with diminished light intensity. The luminance of the buttons and combined instrument panel (DIM) will increase with increasing light intensity and fall with diminishing light intensity.

Power supply, delayed X-supply, value
Measurement range: 0 - 18 V
Normal value when the generator (GEN) is charging: 13.0 - 14.5 V
The value indicates the voltage at the climate control module (CCM). Delayed X-supply means that the power supply is maintained for 1 minute after the ignition is switched off. This is so that functions such as blower fan run-on and damper motor self-adjustment can be activated.

Matrix voltage, value
Incorrect f=165±50Hz
Measurement range: 0 - 5 V
Matrix voltage means that the climate control module (CCM) supplies the damper motors with an impulse sequence via four common cables (connected in parallel). The impulse sequence consists of power supply and signal ground. This determines which direction the damper motors should move when activated. There is also a separate cable from the climate control module (CCM) to each damper motor. This cable controls the number of stages each damper motor should be moved based on the signal from the climate control module (CCM).

Cabin temperature (ECC)
Measurement range: -40 - 85°C
The climate control module (CCM) calculates the temperature based on the signal from the passenger compartment temperature sensor.
The value is used to control the passenger compartment temperature and as the input signal to the central electronic module (CEM).

Outside temperature
Measurement range: -10 - 80°C
The climate control module (CCM) obtains the value via the control area network (CAN) from the passenger door module (PDM) (left-hand drive) or the driver door module (DDM) (right-hand drive).
The value is used to control the passenger compartment temperature.

Blower fan motor power unit, diagnostic signal, value
The climate control module (CCM) generates an analogue signal. This is converted to a current which the power unit converts back to an analogue signal. The diagnostic signal is an extremely intense signal that cannot be used when checking the blower fan.

Guide current for the blower fan motor power unit, value
Measurement range: 0 - 10 mA
The climate control module (CCM) calculates the value based on the signal from the control knob for the blower fan. With electronic climate control, the value is also affected by automatic climate control (AUTO position).
The value is used to control the power supply from the power unit to the blower fan motor.

Lower switch approval, status
The status displays whether the identity of a certain switch is permissible or missing compared with the permitted switch identities in the Car Configuration File.
Ok = Switch permitted
Faulty = Switch not permitted

Lower switch, status
Displays the status of a certain switch.
Off = Active signal
On = Signal not active

Lower switch identity, status
The status displays the function of a certain switch. The functions are as follows:
Fold down head restraints
Folding power door mirrors
Private locking (boot lid)
STC
DSTC
Auxiliary lamps
Deadlock (temporary disengagement of the movement and tilt sensors in the alarm)
Reverse warning
Bi-fuel
Child-proof lock
Rear A/C

Temperature damper motor, left position, value
Measurement range: 0 - 100%
The climate control module (CCM) calculates the value based on the stage movement of the damper motor.
