Defroster Duct, Windshield





Defroster duct, windshield







When replacing the defroster duct on the windshield, the entire dashboard must be replaced.

Installation
Install in reverse order.

Air ducts on the B-post in the dashboard
Remove the air ducts from the B-post.

The air duct for the dashboard nozzle, side defroster (driver's side)
Remove the dashboard.

Removal







- Remove the side defroster nozzle.
- Remove the combined instrument panel.
- Remove the driver's side nozzle.
- Insert a hand through the opening for the combined instrument panel. Detach the duct from the defroster duct for the windshield
- Pull the duct out through the opening for the nozzle.

Installation
- Position the duct and turn it into position
- Install the remaining components
- Everything else is installed in reverse order.

The air duct for the dashboard nozzle, side defroster (passenger side)

Removal







- Remove the outer nozzle.
- Remove the outer nozzle.
- Insert a hand through the opening for the glove compartment. Detach the duct from the windshield defroster duct
- Pull the duct out through the opening for the outer nozzle.

Installation
- Position the duct through the opening for the outer nozzle. Install the defroster duct
- Everything else is installed in reverse order.

The air distribution unit in the dashboard







- Remove the dashboard.
- Remove the screws.
- Detach the duct from the connections.
- Detach the air duct from the air distribution unit.
- Twist off the air duct from the lower mounting.
- Remove the 4 screws.

Installation
Install in reverse order.

The seal between the air distribution unit and the central electrical unit







- Remove the dashboard.
- Replace the seal.

Installation
Install in reverse order.

The front air duct on the floor for the B-post vent
Remove the front seat from the car.

Remove:
- the side panel in the center console.
- the soundproofing panel.
- the front sill trim panel.
- the front floor carpet.







- Pull/bend the duct at the center console. Detach the duct at the upper mounting. Detach the duct from the member.

Installation
Install in reverse order.

The rear air duct on the floor for the B-post vent
- Remove the seat from the car.
- Remove the rear sill guard.
- Remove the B-post panel.







- Fold the rear carpet out of the way if necessary.
- Pull off the air duct.

Installation
Install in reverse order.

B-post air duct

Remove:







- the B-post panel.

Installation
Install in reverse order.

The front air ducts on the floor for the rear floor vent
Remove the seat from the car.

- the center console side panel.
- the soundproofing panel.
- the front sill trim panel.
- the front floor carpet. Remove the rear air duct.







- Pull/bend the duct at the center console. Detach the duct at the upper mounting. Detach the duct from the cross member.

Installation
Install in reverse order.

The rear air ducts on the floor for the rear floor vent







- Position the front seat in the front and highest position
- Pull off the duct by pulling it backwards.

Installation
Install in reverse order.
