Calibrating DSTC (Dynamic Stability and Traction Control)
Calibration DSTC
For the DSTC function to operate after a repair, the ABS control module with DSTC must be calibrated. This means that the control module adjusts the signals from the unique sensors in the DSTC system.
When replacing:
- the ABS control module, the data for the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS), brake pressure sensor and lateral acceleration sensor must be calibrated
- Brake pressure sensor data for the brake pressure sensor must be calibrated
- The lateral acceleration sensor, data for the lateral acceleration sensor must be calibrated.
Generally calibration must be carried out after repair to a component which affects the position of the steering wheel in relation to the position of the front wheels.
Calibration must be carried out according to instructions in VIDA vehicle communication or manually via a test drive.
