Handle, outer, tailgate, replacing

Removing the external handle

Remove:
- the wiper motor. See Motor, tailgate wiper, replacing Motor, Tailgate Wiper, Replacing
- the plate and license plate holder
- the latch from the opening handle
- the four nuts
- the license plate lighting. See Bulb, number plate lighting, replacing Bulb, Number Plate Lighting, Replacing
- the exterior door handle.

Note! Do not scratch the paintwork.

Hint: Use the holes for the license plate lighting when releasing the opening handle.

- Disconnect the wiring from the license plate lighting. See Bulb, number plate lighting, replacing Bulb, Number Plate Lighting, Replacing.

Installing the external handle

Install:
- the wiring for the license plate lighting. See Bulb, number plate lighting, replacing Bulb, Number Plate Lighting, Replacing
- the exterior handle
- the license plate lighting. See Bulb, number plate lighting, replacing Bulb, Number Plate Lighting, Replacing
- the four nuts
- the locking arm on the opening handle
- the plate and license plate holder
- the wiper motor. See Motor, tailgate wiper, replacing Motor, Tailgate Wiper, Replacing.
