- The breakout box connected
- Disconnect gearbox connector D.
Check the cable between transmission control module (TCM) terminal #A52 (#A52) and transmission connector terminal #D3 (control module side). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check the cable for short-circuits to other cables in the circuit.
Check the cable between control module terminal #B10 (#A70) and transmission connector terminal #D4 (control module side). Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check the cable for short-circuits to other cables in the circuit.
Check the cables between connector terminals #D3 and #D4 on the transmission side. Check for damage. Check for short-circuits to other cables in the circuit.
Check the connector. Check for damage and pressed in pins.
Remedy as necessary.

- Open the gearbox control system.
Check the connector. Check for damage and pressed in pins.
Check the wiring between transmission connector terminal #D3 and solenoid SLT terminal #1. Check the wiring between transmission connector terminal #D4 and solenoid SLT terminal #2. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.
Also check against the other cables in the circuit. Use the relevant wiring diagram.
Check the solenoid SLT by measuring the resistance between terminals #1 and #2. The resistance must be 5-5.6 ohms at 20°C. Replace the transmission control system if the resistance is incorrect.

Hint: The transmission has torque controlled adaptive pressure control. Pressure control means that the transmission regulates the pressure itself during each gear shift. This avoids harsh gear shifting. Each gear shift is evaluated by the control module and stored in the memory. This allows for compensation for wear and tear in the transmission and clutch. It is important that the adaptation in the memory is reset after the transmission has been repaired. This is to ensure normal operation. The oil is replaced during repair; the "Transmission oil change" counter must be reset. If the counter is not reset when the fluid is drained and replaced, there is a risk that a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) will be stored in incorrect circumstances.
Note! This applies only if the transmission or one of the components in the transmission have been replaced.

If the fault remains, fault tracing according to this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) should be carried out despite no fault symptoms being detected. The fault is evaluated on an individual basis.
